‘Rosie Perez’ is Firmly Set to Leave ‘The View’ For Good

Rosie Perez has decided to leave ABC’s “The View” and before you say “again” well, this time it’s for good!

After shutting down rumours of Perez’s departure in January 2015, E! News reported the network has finally confirmed that Perez is indeed, leaving the show. Her last day will be the daytime talk show’s season finale, which will air on Aug. 6, 2015. Executive producer Bill Wolff issued a statement regarding Perez’s departure.

“Our friend Rosie Perez has decided to leave the show at the conclusion of this season to pursue full time her love for acting. Stepping into the role of talk show host at the same time she has been starring on Broadway has been incredibly impressive. And beyond being an enormously talented performer, Rosie is a dedicated advocate who has brought passion and insight to the panel every day.” Wolff said.

“Rosie will always be a part of the ‘The View’ family, and we will welcome her back as a guest anytime to catch up. We’ll plan a proper send-off for her in a few weeks, but in the meantime, please join me in thanking her for her great work on the show,” Wolff continued.

In January this year, Perez was almost believed to have quit because of a month-long hiatus. It turns out was because she was rehearsing for “Fish in the Dark.” A lot of viewers thought that she would never return, but she did, however, only temporarily.

Perez first came into the show in Sept. 2014 to fill the chair of Sherri Shepherd and Jenny McCarthy.

Now, who’s going to fill Perez’s seat once she’s gone? Who are your bets? Let us know by posting your comments below!
