Why did Ruby Rose Call for Boycott of The Untitled Magazine?

Ruby Rose has called for a boycott of a magazine after its editor reportedly published her unauthorized photos in its latest issue. Here is the complete story for you.

Ruby Rose of “Orange Is The New Black” fame wants to boycott The Untitled Magazine as she called it outrageous, after it published some of her unauthorized pictures in its recent issue.

According to Daily Dish, the actress cum model posted her picture on social media  (Instagram) from one of her photo shoots, where she wore a black top with nothing else under it. However she blocked her bare chest by displaying an iPhone alert that read “Confirm deletion”.

Rose also mentioned that she was not sure where this image came from when she was initially tagged in the picture by her fans but she inferred that it might be from behind the scenes at a friend’s shoot or one where they had approved of slight transparency in a picture. But she was shocked to note that The Untitled Magazine had gone ahead and published her images even after they had explained that that she won’t be interested in doing the photo shoot if she was not covered appropriately.

She felt that there is a marked difference in selecting to use her nudity for art or when working with a friend but someone taking the pictures and exploiting her is a completely different issue. The said photos were about eight months old. Moreover, though those photos were not approved, yet the publishers sold them to other publications. Ruby also added that the interview has no meaning after eight long months. She urged that all her fans should boycott the said issue of the magazine.

Rose said that if they purchase the magazine’s issue, they would be actually prey to the greedy and exploitative publicity. She has several other shots that she is proud of and these exploited pictures are not required in their collection.
