Ryan Gosling hosted “Saturday Night Live” on Dec. 5, and a few clips from the said SNL episode have since become viral for a lot of reasons, one of which was how much she loves Eva Mendes and their daughter, Esmeralda. Another reason: Ryan Gosling couldn’t hold his giggles.

As a Saturday Night Live host, Ryan Gosling may not have been the best, most effective host—it is, in fact, a dubious honor claimed by a number of past hosts, including Justin Timberlake (who always threatens the world about his “big SNL comeback”), Will Farrell, Alec Baldwin, and even Steve Carell. But Ryan’s own flavor of hosting is funny in its own way, mostly because we can laugh along with his.

The Daily Mail practically fleshed out every bit of Ryan Gosling’s SNL performance, even going down to the detail of every notable sketch where, ironically, Ryan was notably unable to get hold of his giggles. In that alien abduction sketch with Kate McKinnon and Cecily Strong, Ryan could barely hold it together, breaking down in fits of giggling at least twice. Aidy Bryant playing as an over-sexed teen hitting on her friend’s “hot Dad” also proved too much for Ryan, who barely held it together as Aidy sucked frosting off his fingers.

But the sweet ending to Ryan Gosling’s SNL hosting gig came, of course, during the ending credits. Right after thanking singer Leon Bridges and special guest Mike Myers, Ryan quickly added, “Eva and Ezzy I love you.”
Ryan is set to star in a number of high-profile films, such as “The big Short,” which again pairs him off with veteran comedian Steve Carell in a boiler-room tale about the financial insiders who predicted the financial meltdown in 2008. He’s also pairing with Russel Crowe in the unlikely comedy, “The Nice Guys” about a duo of incompetent detectives.
