Ryan Gosling To Play Jazz Pianist And First Man In Two Back To Back Movies
Ryan Gosling got the chance to visit many places due to his profession, now the next place he will head to for his upcoming movie will be totally different from all his previous visits. But this time around he’s leaving earth… to reach the moon. Yes, you read it right, for the upcoming movie on ‘Neil Armstrong,’ Gosling will get the chance to visit our lunar satellite.
According to Cinemablend, it is needless to mention here that Neil Armstrong was the first person to walk on the surface of the moon, under the project name ‘First Man.’ Director Damien Chazelle is working with Universal pictures to develop a biopic on Neil Armstrong. Damian became popular for his work on ‘Whiplash’ which was released last year (2014).
According to recent reports, both Damien and Universal pictures want the star of ‘The Notebook’ and the ‘Drive’ to take lead role in their upcoming movie. In case Gosling is finalised for this project, it will queue two project one after another for the two.
According to Deadline, Gosling and Chazelle have teamed up to work on ‘La La Land’ also, a musical movie where the Gosling will play the role of a jazz pianist and Emma Stone will play the lady lead in the movie. The two projects are described to be completely different from one another.
The movie on Neil Armstrong is still in its nascent stages, however, Universal pictures is taking all the right movies to go ahead with it. The new project is based on the biography written by James Hansen and named as ‘First Man: A Life of Neil A. Armstrong.’ This movie is made to mark the 50th anniversary of the mission.
