Samsung Galaxy S8 Release Date, Specs: Leaked Features Reveal Major Changes
Samsung is expected to release a new flagship phone next year, which will be called Samsung Galaxy S8. Reports reveal that the 2017 flagship phone will be revealed on Feb. 26, 2017.
The South Korean multinational company will bounce back after the issues linked to its 2016 flagship Samsung Note 7. Many users experienced battery-related and fire problems, which are expected to be addressed in the upcoming phone. Users are hopeful that Samsung will not repeat the same mistakes in Galaxy S8. The following are the leaked features of the 2017 device.
No Physical Home Button and Headphone Jack
Of course, Samsung will keep the competition with Apple close by doing the same moves and strategy. The former might also remove the headphone jack in Samsung Galaxy S8 to give way to USB-C port for charging and wired headphones. There might also be no physical home button as it will be embedded under the tempered glass.
Samsung Galaxy S8 will feature the Exynos 8895 chipset and the Qualcomm Snapdragon 830 chipset, which are undeniably powerful processors. According to Phone Arena, the former has a maximum speed of 3GHz and improves image processing by 70 percent.
The upcoming device has the power to take better photos than Samsung Galaxy S7 as it will have camera similar to that of a DSLR camera. Samsung Galaxy S8 will have dual-lens cameras just like Apple’s iPhone 7. It seems that Samsung does not want to be left behind in terms of phone features.
Powerful Graphic Chip
Samsung Galaxy S8 will be powered by the ARM Mali-G71 graphics chips, which will be responsible for the device’s better energy efficiency. Unlike the 2016 flagship phone, the upcoming device will have better performance.
The 2017 flagship Samsung Galaxy S8 is also expected to have two different versions, the flat and edge versions. Stay tuned for more updates!
