Bullock rose to fame in the 1990s where she starred in films such as “Demolition Man,” “Speed,” “The Net,” “While You Were Sleeping,” “A Time to Kill” and “Hope Floats.” By 2000s, she starred in “Miss Congeniality”; “Two Weeks Notice”; “The Lake House”; the top grossing “The Proposal” and “The Blind Side,” the successful box-office comedy of the year; “The Heat”; the critically acclaimed “Crash”; and “Gravity.”
In 2007, she was ranked as the 14th richest woman in the entertainment industry with an estimated fortune of $85 million. By 2012, she is part of the 2012 edition of Guinness World Records as the highest paid actress, with $56 million. Bullock was awarded the BFCA Award, SAG Award, Golden Globe Award and the Academy Award for her portrayal in “The Blind Side” and nominated a second time for the Academy Award for Best Actress, along with the BFCA, Golden Globe and SAG awards for “Gravity.” She has also received her first BAFTA nomination.
