“Scandal” Season 3 Episode 15 “Mama Said Knock You Out” Episode Recap:
ABC had the first dibs on the full recap of the “Mama Said Knock You Out” episode. “Scandal Season 3 Episode 15 “Mama Said Knock You Out” (air date: March 27, 2014) introduced the First Children to join President Fitzwilliam (Tony Goldwyn) and First Lady Mellie Grant (Bellamy Young) in their First Family TV interview. And if you’re a part of the most powerful and influential family, you’re in for a wild ride with this one.

Olivia found out that the kids aren’t that innocent at all. Jerry Jr. headed an Anti-Fitz online group campaign in honor of his father with a “Reston For President” shirt to boot. This ensued a heated argument between the two while Karen looked for her mother for support. She and Olivia had found Mellie in a surprisingly intimate affair with Fitz’ current Vice President bet and Karen’s “Uncle Andrew” (Jon Tenney).  The girl told his father all about it and Fitz was too keen to take the matter to his hand.

Mellie was dangerously close in telling Fitz about Big Jerry raping her in the past which led to their tainted marriage. After having kids with Fitz, she had left her in the shadows on the truth and stopped having sex with him all together. He was affected by this until he met the woman who wanted to make jam with him in Vermont.

Olivia is still working for the President in the White House (and in his bed) but it seems that no one gives her credit for her work-even Fitz! During an argument with Mellie, Fitz shouted at her and that led to her leaving the White House. Cyrus (Jeff Perry) saved the day when he convinced her to stay and do her fixing magic.

Meanwhile, B6-13 had its own moments to ponder on. Jake continued with his macho position while Ex-Command Eli and Olivia’s father, Rowan (Joe Morton) told him that Jake’s alone on this. B613’s weirdest girlfriend-boyfriend Quinn (Katie Lowes) and Charlie got hand of a former member of a Ukraine crime group named Dmitry and started drilling him for information, literally. The “power drill” couple are also in the talks of putting Huck (Guillermo Diaz) on their kill list, who had a out-of-this-world make-out session with Quinn AKA Baby Huck.

Back to the Oval Office, Jake gave the President a visit. Fitz tried to make him give the hostaged criminal to them. Cyrus heard about Jake’s presence and immediately, attacked him with a vase. The presidential adviser already knew that the B613 current head killed James, his late husband. Cyrus told Fitz that he realized that Jake is just doing his job and maybe, James might destroy the administration with his revelations.

The hostage and his partner is actually connected with Maya a.k.a. Mama Pope (Khandi Alexander) and Adnan Salif. As Adnan continued their plot, she partly seduced and drugged Harrison (Columbus Short) into getting few important details about the President’s Campaign.

Last week’s episode has tapped Tony Goldwyn as director and Zahir McGhee for penning the episode.
