Olivia (Kerry Washington) and her associates try to juggle their work between the White House and B6-13. It’s over for now with the show’s new “star-crossed” lovers, Mellie (Bellamy Young) and Andrew (Jon Tenney), after Fitz (Tony Goldwyn) learns about the affair. Read on for the “Scandal” spoilers about Season 3 Episode 17 “Flesh And Blood” and find out more about the recap of last week’s episode “Scandal” Season 3 Episode 16 “The Fluffer.”

“Scandal” Season 3 Episode 16 “The Fluffer” Recap:

“Scandal” Season 3 Episode 16 “The Fluffer” started off with Abby Whelan (Darcy Stanchfield) as the proxy for her busy boss, but the White House is not happy about Gabby and her chic white coat.

Everyone felt she’s no Olivia Pope and they didn’t listen to her. Meanwhile, a wild Jeannine Locke appeared and Abby called in her boss about Locke’s scandalous memoir. Locke (Samantha Sloyan) first appeared as one of Olivia’s remaining colleagues in the Communications Department. In “Scandal” Season 3 Episode 1 “It’s Handled” (air date: October 3, 2013), she was about to learn about the woman in the infamous Fitz affair but the Gladiators are quicker. Her “hots for the President” video was used by the Gladiators as an exit for Olivia instead.

Governor Samuel Reston (Tom Amandes) is officially out of the presidential race after the truth about the murder of his wife’s lover resurfaced. Truly, politics continues to be a sticky business to be in.

According to On The Red Carpet, there’s indeed trouble in paradise regarding the five people involved in their respective whirlwind romances. Olivia is caught in between her job and affair with Fitz.  Now, she is about to wreck her relationship with Jake (Scott Foley), Olivia’s post-Fitz flame and now, head of B6-13. The president and Mellie are at claws with each other after knowing about the affair and the possible end of the First Lady’s “star-crossed” affair. Andrew knew that there’s something “real” with Mellie, but he has to take this aside if he still wants to become the Vice President.

Olivia and Rowan Pope (Joe Morton) took another chance at having a “simple” dinner for the nth time.  This was stopped by  Maya Pope (Khandi Alexander) when she crashed their little get-together. In adult Olivia’s world, it’s not new that her parents are at each other’s throats after all that has happened. She was also warned her daughter with another kill and  that she needs to find another job.

Meanwhile, everything had gone awry with what’s happening with the Gladiators, B6-13 and of course, Mama Pope. Jake and his assassin team were on their feet to get surveillance with Maya and her new-hobby.  But they were cut off by the Gladiators, who were actually interested in taking the organization down. Who do you think won in this battle? Well, it’s the woman who brought our fixer heroine to the world and is in pursuit of killing our dear President.

According to Wet Paint, things will start to heat up before the impending finale of an explosive fourth season of the hit TV series that centered on Fitz’s re-election race for the presidency.

The teaser trailer hints that the pre-finale episode “is going out with a bomb,” literally. In the promotional photos posted on the ABC’s site, Maya, Adnan (Nazanin Boniadi) and Ivan (Carlo Rota) are a step ahead of Olivia and Jake with an explosive plot. This seems the bad outcome after the Gladiators shut down the B6-13, who are a few ticks away from stopping Maya and her latest move. Yikes!
