Scarlett Johansson to Play Game Designer Zoe Quinn in Amy Pascal’s Movie on Gamergate Movement?
Good news for the fans of Black Widow aka our very dear Scarlett Johansson as her name is on the top of the list of Amy Pascal, the former Sony executive who has acquired the rights to develop a movie based on the famous misogyny scandal known as Gamergate which started in August 2014. It means a movie titled “Control Alt Delete” is on the cards for the pretty lady, reported by Jeff Sneider of The Wrap.
As reported earlier, the game designer Zoe Quinn is going to launch a memoir titled “Crash Override: How to Save the Internet From Itself” on the issue of Gamergate. It was created following a blog post by Quinn’s boyfriend in which he accused her of having an affair with a journalist to get publicity. Not only Quinn, other female figures like Brianna Wu and cultural critic Anita Sarkeesian of the gaming industry were also abused through the usage of this movement.
“Control Alt Delete” will be based on the memoir of Quinn about. It was revealed that it will come to life in the coming year meaning 2016. The gaming industry fame Quinn went to Twitter for confirming about both the news meaning her coming up with a memoir on Gamergate incident and also about the movie.
It will be a fun to see Scarlett Johansson in the shoes of Quinn on screen and also the entire incident in a two-hour movie because there is a lot to tell about the idea behind starting the movement. Till date, Gamergate’s views are not clear, the movement is dangling between three ideas of campaign supporting gaming journalism ethics, misogynist harassment, and borderline terrorist organization. Well, the clear point will come to light once we will get Quinn’s memoir in hands and also the movie too. So, all the best to her.
