‘Scream’ Season 2 Update: ‘Scream’ Will Not Come With A Sequel Even After Renewal By MTV For Second Season?
“Scream” TV Series has still finale left to telecast on September 1, 2015 and clouds of its cancellation are still very dark. Rumors are surfacing that even after “Scream” TV Series renewal by MTV for second season has been finalized, it can still get cancelled for not one but for several reasons.
The show had declining viewership and thus, rating for each episode of “Scream” Season 1 got lower. A much lower figure is expected for the season 1 finale of “Scream.” TVSeriesFinale reports that the show started with a viewership of 1.026, which declined with each episode, and by Season 1 Episode 9, it reached to 0.554.
There had been no improvement in the ratings of the show and the finale is going to receive empty audience. There are many reasons for the show’s poor ratings, out of which the major one had been the same old horror flick repetition.
“Scream” Season 2 had received renewal update on July 29, 2015 only, and MTV had previously planned to shelve the show because of ratings and had even got its Twitter account deleted for the same. Even though the show has received a renewal, it faces tough competition from “Teen Wolf,” which is not ready to back down.
“Scream” Season 1 came out as just blood bath with bland dialogue delivery and unimpressive actions, reports DesignnTrend. It is also reported that the show’s cast Willa Fitzgerald was busy during the renewal filming.
Who’s to say that MTV would not go back to its previous decision of cancelling the show after Season 1 finale! Share your views on the possible cancellation and all about “Scream” TV Series in the comments below.
