Rihanna is on the cover of the special 100th issue of Fader magazine, and she is absolutely riveting. the sultry singer’s cover appearance marks another landmark in RiRi’s career, she made magazine cover with a selfie. Find all the new pictures, right after this break.

Rihanna’s Instagram is absolutely bursting with the new photos from her sexy new photoshoot with Fader. But contributing photographer Renata Raksha job got a little easier this time as the 27-year-old singer decided to click the photos for herself.

An official statement was issued from the magazine which reads something like:

“For a selection of images, and for the first time in The Fader’s history, Raksha handed Rihanna the shutter release, giving the artist the opportunity to collaborate with the photographer, and snap the second cover of the publication’s 100th issue.”

In selfie-mode or off it, Rihanna looks absolutely stunning in a pink gown, and then in a pale ochre dress as she seductively looks at the camera, cigarette hanging loosely between fingers, an envelope of dense smoke around her face.

The beauty from Barbados joins Drake in the cover of the 100th issue of Fader, as we reported recently. Both great artists, although Rihanna, admittedly is much nicer to look at.

Rihanna also appears in the insightful, (if slightly overlong) Fader’s accompanying cover story “Becoming Rihanna” by Mary H. K. Choi, explaining the whole phenomenon of ‘RiRi.’

“The mythic ideal of this woman who has remained in front of us, without our ever tiring of her, in an artful, sophisticated dance.”

Choi, we believe, is a bit enamoured by Rihanna.

“We keep on insisting, or at least wanting, a blueprint or a calculable algorithm to justify how she feels as knowable to us as a friend who made it without inspiring any resentment or jealousy. We feel like we’re given a vision of her that is real because she chooses not to portray herself as perfect, which only makes us believe that she is. And maybe there’s no way to explain it. Rihanna just has to be it. God knows we’ll take it.”
