Selena Gomez’s ‘Tongues Out’ Photo with Brandon Smith; Dissing Miley Cyrus?
Selena Gomez and Miley Cyrus have some things in common: they’re both singers, they both had a good start in their career in Disney, they both had Nick Jonas as a common ex-boyfriend way back and, lastly, judging from recent Instagram posts, they also hate each other!
Last Wednesday, Jan. 21, 2015, Cyrus posted a bikini selfie very similar to Gomez’ own bikini selfie posted a week earlier, right down from the sultry pout to the black bikini. Her photo’s caption practically threw fuel to the fire, as Cyrus claimed that Gomez posted that particular photo to get more social media followers.
The next few days spelled a social media uproar against Cyrus from Gomez’s fans. Most of them screamed bloody murder, saying that Cyrus was just jealous of Gomez. And now, opting to take matters in his own hands, a good friend of Gomez posted an Instagram photo, as if showing his support.
On Saturday, Jan. 24, 2015, Brandon Mychal Smith, Gomez’s friend and co-star in her latest movie ‘The Revised Fundamentals of Caregiving,’ posted a photo of Gomez and himself copying Cyrus by sticking their tongues out. And judging from his caption on it — “when it’s family it’s for life #family4life #blessed I love you sistddddduuuer #iloveu more than you’ll ever know … #iwantyoutoknow” — it seems Smith wants to show that he’s also a fan of Gomez and wants to give his support.
It has been reported that Cyrus and Gomez have been on a rocky path since 2006, though no particular reason was raised. But even with Cyrus publicly showing how she hates Gomez, “The Heart Wants What It Wants” singer, on the other hand, tries to keep things at the minimum level.
According to a HollywoodLife.com insider, Gomez knows that Cyrus was just hitting on her and other people to get more attention, and she doesn’t really care. Gomez apparently doesn’t have any plans on getting further involved with Cyrus, and she even feels sorry for her.
