As you know, Netflix is making TV series adaptation of “Series of Unfortunate Events”. So, lately it is looking for actors for the roles of Violet and Klaus. “Series of Unfortunate Events” is written by Daniel Handler. This series of 13 children’s novels (1999-2006) was published by the author with his pen name Lemony Snicket.

The novels depict the stormy life of Violet, Klaus, and Sunny Baudelaire. Their sorrows burgeon when they are made aware that they lost their parents in a fire accident. Fans of Lemony Snicket’s writings are waiting for any news update regarding the cast of the show. Here we have the update on “Series of Unfortunate Events” TV show for you.

There is not much news about who would play the main role of Count Olaf. But it has been learnt that Netflix has officially started the hunt for a perfect cast for the roles of Klaus and Violet, reports Screen Rush.

 Netflix has even provided an official synopsis of the series. “A Series of Unfortunate Events recounts the tale of the orphaned children Violet, Klaus and Sunny Baudelaire at the hands of the villainous Count Olaf.” The children face many hardships and also have to deal with an evil uncle. They want to discover their fortune and also want to find truth of their parent’s death.

The open casting call released by Netflix states that for the role of Violet, producers need 11-14 years old girl. This character of “Series of Unfortunate Events” is confident and smarter than her age. She is also a problem solver for her siblings. Being elder to her brother and sister, she is endowed with leadership skills too.

For the role of Khaus, producers need a 10-13 years old boy. The character to be played is of a boy who is suave, smart and an avid reader. One of his siblings is elder to him and other is younger to him.

According to Project Counting, the filming of “Series of Unfortunate Events” would commence in March 2016 only. Vancouver, Canada has been shortlisted for the place of filming so far. The publication reports 15 January to be the set date of sending auditions. It is expected that the show would go on air in starting of year 2017.
