Shaquille O’Neal joined the list of celebrity basketball players who have done their favorite players’ list this season. He listed five players who are his all-time favorites. Predictably, Kobe Bryant wasn’t one of them. Read on for more detail.s

O’Neal came up with his own list of top five players he worships. In an interview with the Times Picayune from New Orleans, he observed that the quicker paced games are the order of the day and this trend is here to stay. He also observed that the new kids on the block are obviously going to play like the established players of the day. It was because they watch them do what they do and are quick to copy their moves. This will obviously decide the trend of the future too.

O’Neal was also keen on the fact that in his hey day professional basketball players were often taller and heavier built. Compared to them, the players in the current lineup look scrawny and thin. He said that this was also the reason why the game had developed a quicker pace in the recent years. Scrawny players are also fleet-footed.

When asked about his all-time favorites, the former NBA player, talked about players from his own time. He listed Magic Johnson, Karl Malone, Charles Barkley, Julius Erving, and Michael Jordan. He said that the problem with doing lists of this sort was that he will always be hankered by the press for not including players like Kobe Bryant, who he had a spot of trouble within the past few years. He was quick to come clean on the fact that Kobe Bryant was pretty good, but he had his own favorites from the past. He shouldn’t be judged for having an opinion.

Who is your favorite NBA player? Do you think Kobe Bryant could measure up to Michael Jordan or Magic Johnson if they were to play against him? What do you think?
