Shazam! will be released in 2019 as a part of DCEU. With Dwayne Johnson playing Black Adam, someone really suitable will have to play Shazam.

Since no actor has been confirmed yet to play the role of the superhero, here are some actors who can play Shazam in the movie.

John Krasinski As Shazam!

Emily Blunt’s husband John could be suitable for the role of Shazam. He has the physique and is goofy at the same time. He was competing for the role of Captain America but unfortunately could not make it.

With Shazam!, he would have an opportunity to be a bigger part of the DC universe and bring the magical side of DC on-screen.

Kellan Lutz

Kellan has played Hercules in The Legend of Hercules and is also in talks to play He-Man on-screen. Going by his credentials, he could make a perfect Shazam since he is muscular and has a humorous side.

Channing Tatum

Channing Tatum is another perfect candidate for the role. The actor is beefed up and has a comic timing, which was seen in 22 Jump Street. He has also worked with Dwayne Johnson in G.I.Joe: Retaliation and hence would look good next to him.

Daniel Cudmore

Daniel has been known to play Colossus in the X-Men movies but this would be a role that would truly suit him. He is a slightly taller for Shazam but he would look good while fighting Dwayne’s Black Adam.

Armie Hammer

Armie is the last choice for the role of Shazam. He is tall, talented and this would be a really good opportunity for him to enter the superhero world. He might have to beef up a little for the role. But once he is done with it, he would look really good.

Screen Crush reported that the new animated series Justice League Action will premiere with Shazam Slam on December 16, which will see Shazam helping Justice League in defeating Black Adam.

Shazam! is scheduled for release in 2019.
