Sleepy Hollow Season 2 Updates [WATCH VIDEO]
It has been so long since we last saw the adventures of Ichabod, Abbie and the others in FOX’s “Sleepy Hollow.” We are happy to inform you about new updates regarding the show. TV Line has the scoop on the new villains of the show, including “romantic bombs.” Read further to learn more about the “Sleepy Hollow” Season 2 updates.
In Season 1, we found Ichabod (Tom Mison) buried alive by his son, Henry Parrish (John Noble), the Horseman of War. John Noble was notable for his role as Dr. Walter Bishop in the sci-fi hit TV series “Fringe.” Meanwhile, Abbie (Nicole Beharie) was trapped in purgatory as she sacrificed herself to free Ichabod’s wife, Katrina (Katia Winter), who, after being freed, was soon captured by the headless horseman. Irving (Orlando Jones) was in jail after confessing the murders of Father Boland and Devon Jones in order to protect his daughter. Jenny (Lyndie Greenwood) might be dead after a major car wreck due to an encounter with the Headless Horseman.
With these tides of events, even lead actor Tom Mison wondered how the Season 2 would pick up from the Season 1 finale.
On a show panel at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, executive producer and writer Mark Goffman teases what might happen in Season 2.
“We’re going to drop a few bombs this season with Crane and Katrina. We’re going to find out a few things that neither of them could possibly be prepared for,” revealed Goffman in the TV Line report.
It seems that Season 2 will focus on the romance between Ichabod and his spouse. “Their relationship is at the core of everything we do,” explained Goffman. “There are going to be some real trust issues [this season].”
Season 2 also introduces new characters, ranging from natural to supernatural. “We’re always twisting things up with some of the legends we’re familiar with,” revealed Len Wiseman, co-creator and executive producer, to TV Line. Along with the Wendigo and the Succubus, two new baddies will be introduced in the upcoming season — the Pied Piper and Kindred.
Another character is set to appear in the town of Sleepy Hollow, as Lena Reyes is appointed as the new sherriff. There you have it for the “Sleepy Hollow” Season 2 updates. It premieres on Monday, Sept. 22, 2014, at 9:00 p.m. on FOX. For more updates about your favorite TV shows, stay tuned here on Movie News Guide (MNG).
