Snoop Dogg Launches His Own Marijuana Website ‘Merry Jane’
Rapper Snoop Dogg has opened his own weed website called “Merry Jane.” What is this all about?
According to Time, the 43-year-old world-renowned rapper and icon decided to team up with media entrepreneur and manager Ted Chung to launch a lifestyle app dedicated to smoking pot, calling it as a “game-changing platform for pop culture.”
The pair described “Merry Jane” as a lifestyle website that focuses on marijuana or cannabis. The site will feature video and article contents which will serve as an information hub for people who’s interested in weeds.
The range of contents that users will see in the media site varies from cooking shows (where people will learn what edible food that can be paired with cannabis), to featuring individuals who smoked pot for the first time (the segment called “Deflowered”) and all the way to having exclusive interview with different celebrities.
Moreover, it was reported that Seth Rogen and Miley Cyrus were now an enlisted member of the site.
The rapper added that the site is like an encyclopedia book of the marijuana world as it will provide everyone with “everything they need to know” about it.
On the other hand, Metro reported that Snoop Dogg also expressed that he wanted “Merry Jane” to be a platform for his fellow smokers where they can share stories of their own experiences while they are under the influence of marijuana.
“There are so many people in the closet. We are giving them an opportunity to come out of the closet and just admit they like to smoke. I’m a smoker, my name is Snoop Dogg, and I’m a stoner,” he said.
In addition, Snoop also expressed his hope that the site will become a leading destination for retail and brand business in the multi-billion dollar cannabis industry.
