In the recent San Diego Comic-con, Columbia Pictures has released their date plan for not only one but two “Amazing Spider-Man” films. The first one is a spinoff entitled “Sinister Six,” named after the featured super villain group. Earlier on, hints appeared on the film “Amazing Spider-Man 2,” of which villains appear and might team up to beat New York’s wall crawler.

The other movie confirmed to be released is the third installment to the famous box-office Marvel movie franchise, “Amazing Spider-Man.”

The “Amazing Spider-Man” has featured Andrew Garfield to take the role of titular web-head,  teaming up with Emma Stone as Parker’s love interest, Gwen Stacy. The “Amazing Spider-Man” is the fourth  “Spider-Man” film produced  by Columbia Pictures and Marvel Entertainment and is a reboot to Sam Raimi’s 2002–2007 “Spider-Man” trilogies. The film was a box office success, grossing over $757 million worldwide while its sequel, The “Amazing Spider-Man 2,” featuring Jamie Foxx and Dane DeHaan as comic book villains Electro and the Green Goblin, grossed over $706 million worldwide.

“With Sinister Six in the hands of writer-director Drew Goddard, we feel extremely confident placing the film on a prime date in 2016,” said Sony Pictures president Doug Belgrad in the Deadline report.

“Sinister Six” has been dated for release on November 11, 2016, while The Amazing Spider-Man 3” will feature in 2018.

The studio also announces its movie adaptation of the top-selling third-person shooter videogame, “Uncharted.” The videogame series follows modern-day treasure hunter Nathan “Nate” Drake as he travels around the world in search of various historical mysteries.

The film “Uncharted” will be directed by Seth Gordon from the screenplay of  David Guggenheim. Casting has not been made yet to play as the distinctive Drake, but rumor has it that Mark Wahlberg is pulled to do the part, although both studio and representatives of the actor have said nothing about this. “Uncharted” is to  open in theaters on June 10, 2016, originally “Amazing Spider-Man 3’s” release date.
