Sony’s Animated ‘Spider-Man’ Movie: Miles Morales Should Be Spidey This Time?
The “Spider-Man” fans who have been craving for something new and fresh from the “Spider-Man” franchise are going to get it soon. On July 20, 2018 the theatres will be graced by Sony’s animated “Spider-Man” movie. Experts and fans hope and suggest to bring back the “Ultimate Spider Man” Miles Morales as Spidey this time. Want to know why? Read on to get the complete scoop.
“21 Jump Street” directors Phil Lord and Chris Miler are coming together to create a full-length animated “Spider-Man” movie that would be independent of Marvel Studios’ 2017 project. Fans are indeed ecstatic to see Peter Parker in Marvel’s flick. But, it would indeed give them the taste and pleasure of both worlds to see Miles Morales in the animated venture, who had already played ‘anime’ in “Ultimate Spider-Man: Web Warriors” for Disney.
Fans undoubtedly get engrossed and involved in the stories and characters they see. The live and animated action bearing the same Spider-Man would overlap the stories leading to confusion. By placing Parker in the live venture and Morales in the animated, it would lead to a clear distinction in the plots with no interference between the stories of our two Spidey versions, says Comic Book.
In favor of having Miles Morales in the animated movie, it can also be said that it would provide the representation in Superhero cinema that is much-needed and long-awaited. Our screen hero would get a platform to diversify by means of the animated feature.
Phil Lord and Chris Miler are all set to take all Spider-man fans back to their graphic roots.
The separation of the live and animated action will also give Sony complete creative freedom to create another Spider-Man franchise, and would allow producers Avi Arad and Matt Tolmach to stay aboard as well, says Screen Rant.
