‘Southern Charm’ Season 2 Premiere Spoilers: Thomas Ravenel’s Controversies and Co-Stars’ Fresh Pursuits
Finally! The gorgeous socialites from the South are back for Season 2 in the premiere of “Southern Charm,” which airs on Monday, Mar. 16, 2015, at 10:00 p.m. on Bravo. Read on to know what is going to happen.
The State wrote that some of the stars’ controversies after Season 1 could be featured in the second installment. Thomas Ravenel, the most popular one in the show, graced the headlines once again after his infamous imprisonment because of illegal drugs (he was the state treasurer, by the way). One of those current issues is when he encountered an epic fail (almost, if not) during his U.S. Senate campaign because of odd political advertisements, which had a little impact on the masses. And in October 2014, he was reported to the police by Lauren Moser, the hairdresser of Ravenel’s ex-girlfriend Kathryn Dennis, for hitting her after strongly slamming a door in a fight. As expected, that led to a breakup between Ravenel and Dennis.
However, on Bravo’s teaser last season, it gave hints that Ravenel and Dennis might be in good terms again. After showing the breakup, the sneak peak cuts to an adorable video of them with their baby. The same goes for three more teasers as Season 2 approaches.
Another report of the State is about new businesses among the “Southern Charm” stars. It has a theme – food. When King Street’s downtown restaurant Sermet’s became vital last season, the second season might feature Shep Rose’s gourmet hot dog restaurant and bar Palace Hotel and Whitney Suber-Smith’s Generalissimo.
Aside from new business ventures, what else is fresh? The State wrote that new faces would join “Southern Charm.” Cameran Eubank’s mother, Bonnie, and Rose’s friend, Landon Clements, are expected to contribute more to the spice. Bonnie appears because of Eubank’s new career in the real estate while Clements is still coping from her divorce.
Lastly, is Smith’s mother, Patricia Altschul, going to hold property as a widow? She is philanthropist and banker Arthur Altschul’s widow. Arthur died at age 81 in 2002 after six years of marriage with Patricia.
“Southern Charm” airs every Monday at 10:00 p.m. on Bravo.
