‘Star Wars 7’ could Not Beat Record of Robert Pattinson And Kristen Stewart’s ‘Twilight’
“Star Wars 7” wishes to reach the highest possible number of movie halls so that a record can be beaten. However, actors Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart did conquer the entire world with their 3rd “Twilight” film and the movie’s record is yet to be beaten by anyone.
Yes, it is true. The “Twilight” saga, Bella Swain, played by Kristen Stewart and Edward Cullen’s role enacted by Robert Pattinson did set a new benchmark for a series of movies that successfully haunted and enthralled the public. Though, both of them are working in separate films now, they have never regretted their past. Truly, they are the most popular vampires in the history of films.
In 2010, the 3rd “Twilight” movie was released in approximately 4,400 movie halls right in the opening day. This is a lot more when compared to the movie of Hans Solo and his ensemble that could be seen only in 4,100 halls.
Though, in terms of figures, the difference is only about 300 theaters, that is truly remarkable as “Eclipse” had managed to raise the bar quite high for the other franchise movies that were to follow.
According to Yareah, it is also true that that while the release of the “Star Wars” happened in the winters, the 3rd movie of “Twilight” was leased in summer. Thus, Pattinson and Steward had an edge of returning to the big screen during a time when usually films witness better outcomes.
Do you remember that Eclipse has had the distinction of enjoying the biggest Wednesday opening both in the history of Canada and the United States? The movie beat other films such as “Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen’s”. That’s not all. The film also had the distinction of being played in more than 4,416 halls. That was a higher figure compared to “The Twilight Saga: New Moon”, its predecessor.
