Star Wars: Battlefront Rogue One X-Wing will be a more interesting game to get one’s hands on. Thanks to the Playstation VR that was released by Sony a few days back. With this new technology, gamers can experience the thrill of playing the game – VR style!


The Rogue One VR mission for Star Wars: Battlefront will be an add-on content to the base game. To avail the VR experience, one must own the game and also the headset. The PlayStation VR headset is available for US$ 399 in the USA.

If a player has both the game and the headset, then he will qualify to download the DLC once available. The game will involve a mission to run a X-Wing spacecraft challenging a powerful Star Destroyer ship with Imperial TIE Fighters.

There is a small connection between Star Wars: Battlefront Rogue One X-Wing game and the movie. The connection is that both have been set in the Star Wars: Battlefront period, noted Game N Guide. The release of the game and the movie coincide with each other.

As far as the PlayStation VR is concerned, it is all set to rule the industry with its innovation. Sony has moved one step above its competitors by offering this product at a cheaper price. Competitors Oculus Rift and HTC VIVE have offered their products at a price almost a couple of hundred dollars more than that of Sony.

All game developers are vying to be on the PlayStation VR space. There are currently over 230 developers and publishers that are working on PlayStation VR software titles. Games available with PlayStation VR (PSVR) are Rez Infinite, Batman: Arkham VR, DRIVECLUB VR and RIGS Mechanized Combat League. By the end of 2016, one can expect at least 50 games in the PSVR space.

Star Wars: Battlefront Rogue One X-Wing will be released on Dec. 16, 2016.
