“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” Character Kylo Ren Is More Destructive Than Iconic Villain Darth Vader?
“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” has a lot in store for the fans especially they waited for more than a decade after the last film of the sci-fi installment. One of the characters that fan expect to make the story colorful is Kylo Ren. As early as now, he is seen to be more destructive and more dangerous than to Darth Vader. What are the basis for this comparison?
Screen Rant enumerated some reasons behind this said comparison. Even in his dark side, Darth Vader still recognizes authorities and obediently follow orders particularly from Grand Moff Tarkin as depicted in “Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope.” On the other hand, Kylo Ren regards himself as the authority and competing for this influence versus General Hux. Clearly, he wants to handle the matters in his hand rather than working with him even if they have the same agenda of conquering the Empire.
Another one is he have built and modified the lightsaber by himself. His weapon has a special feature of exhaust vents which functions as crossguards. It can be recounted that Jedis can create lightsaber as it is included in their training. However, Kylo Ren has built it using only his resourcefulness.
It must be noted too that he has the Starkiller, which is believed to more damaging than the Death Star since the latter can wipe out planets, but the former can extinguish an entire star system. Imagine how he will use it to execute his evil plans.
According to Entertainment Weekly, director JJ Abrams shared how he thinks Adam Driver is the best actor for the portrayal of Kylo Ren.
“Adam Driver, there are times when he’s so hard on himself as an actor. He’s got a kind of wonderful ferocity that was perfect for this character,” Abrams said.
Will “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” show the most cold-blooded villain in the franchise?
