‘Star Wars’ Han Solo Spinoff Updates: Han Solo Set To Star As A Teenager

Times are great for “Star Wars” fans as the Han Solo spin off is getting more details.“Star Wars: The Force Awakens” is getting its deserved attention, but there is yet another “Star Wars” film which is making its own news. There’s a spin off on one of the top characters of the series, Han Solo. Played by Harrison Ford, Han Solo is regarded as a fan favorite and his following is such that he’s getting his own film.

Two more sequels have been planned for the original trilogy and a set of anthology films which will focus on different characters and events outside of the main timeline.

According to bgr.com, The Han Solo anthology film will tell us more about the character as it will show a younger Han Solo while giving an extensive backstory for one of the most beloved characters of the franchisee.

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy gave more details about the spinoff which will be directed by Phil Lord and Chris Miller and will be released on May 25, 2018. The question that is bothering everyone is how to introduce Han Solo as a younger guy just three years after Harrison Ford will be playing returning to the role in “Star Wars: Episode VII”. Han Solo’s familiar characters such as his constant companion Chewbacca, Jabba the Hut and Greedo could make appearances in the film.

Kennedy quoted, “I think the key here is that we are identifying an event or events in Han Solo’s life that gives you some idea of who he is and why he is the character we have all known to love.”

We can be sure the movie will run high on wit and humor because that is what Han Solo is all about.

“Han Solo is the character inside “Star Wars that everybody knows has a wit and sense of humor. So that’s what this should be.” Kennedy added.
