‘Suicide Squad’ By The Numbers: Who Will Survive and Who Won’t
They are super-villains, they are expendable, and they are none other than the “Suicide Squad.” They were formed to do the ridiculous, something so dangerous that would end with their lives. Since the squad will be risking their lives for the Government, we thought about pointing out the members who would survive the dangerous missions Amanda Waller is going to throw at them and the ones who won’t.
According to Fansided, first up is Col. Rick Flagg. One of the only two good members of the team who is also responsible for keeping the Squad in check. Colonel is a dedicated soldier who will do anything for his country. It was even if that means to form a team with some of the most unwanted people, so be it.
There’s one weakness that Col. Rick has and that is his loyalty to Amanda Waller. He might have a fair idea about what Miss Waller does and how she gets people to act against their own interest, but if it means something good for the country and its interest, Rick will do it no matter what. So a good guy like him who is also an experienced soldier might not have an issue surviving the dangerous missions.
Second on the list is Deadshot, who is still a bad guy but something good to live for. In the “Suicide Squad” trailer, Will Smith’s Deadshot can be seen with his daughter. It naturally means that he might want to do something good so that he can be around her. That is the reason why Deadshot chooses to be a part of “Suicide Squad” in order to get reduced sentence. On the other hand when you have a major star like Will Smith, DCEU could definitely use him in other projects as well.
Harley Quinn is the third character that is guaranteed to survive, given her connection with the Clown Prince of Crime, the Joker and DCEU wanting to establish her as an independent character. She’s crazy and that’s why people love her so much. Fans would want to see Margot Robbie’s Harley wreck havoc in other DC movies and perhaps for other DC heroes other than Batman.
Other not so famous villains like Slipknot and El Diablo are amongst the ones who might not survive these dangerous missions or have a lower probability of surviving because as compared to other popular members, their inclusion in other DC movies is doubtful.
Finally Katana, Captain Boomerang, Killer Croc and Enchantress are amongst the ones who’s future is open to debate. If DC is planning more movies with different heroes, these members can certainly do the needful.
Movie Pilot raised a question if a new Suicide Squad would appear in the Flash/Arrow TV series. Since the “Suicide Squad” has also been adapted for the movies, getting to see a new “Suicide Squad” on TV wouldn’t be such a bad idea. It would really give audiences two different versions to choose from.
“Suicide Squad” will release on Aug. 5, 2016.
