‘Supergirl’ Season 1 2016: Kara Comes To Know About Real Identity Of Hank [Watch Promo]
The CBS’ TV series “Supergirl” is on a winter break and would return in Jan. 2016 . Lately a promo video of the 9th episode “Blood Bonds” has been dropped by the creators. Before the midseason “Supergirl” Season 1 premiers, get to know what all is about to come!
Kara’s (Melissa Benoist) aunt, Astra (Laura Benanti) has been made captive at the Department of Extranormal Operations (DEO), reports Ace Showbiz. Astra’s husband Non (Chris Vance) manages to catch Hank Henshaw (David Harewood) and Kara is not okay with it. She tries to rescue Hank and finally there is a confrontation in the sky.
There is a scene in midseason “Supergirl” Season 1 preview video where Kara is left astonished when she comes to know about the real identity of Hank. She is heard speaking, “You’re from Mars?” and looks at Hank who is actually the Martian Manhunter in utter disbelief.
According to CinemaBlend, Hank is known to all as the one who is devoted to protecting the planet Earth from any onslaught by aliens. In midseason, it would be learnt that the real Hank has succumbed to death and it is the Martian Manhunter also called J’onn J’onzz who has occupied his place.
In the coming episodes Kara, the Supergirl would want to know everything about his past. It would also be revealed soon why Martian is the Last Son of Mars.
In the promo video, some tension can also be seen building as Kara’s boss keeps on pressurizing her to confess that she is no other than the Supergirl. It has been learnt that Bizarro and Toyman (Henry Czerny), the popular villains of Detective Comics would also make an entry in the second half of “Supergirl” Season 1, reports Aceshowbiz .
The “Supergirl” Season 1 was premiered on CBS in May 2015. The TV series has been receiving good response from the viewers since and earned the 20 episodes season order by the end of November this year.
The midseason of “Supergirl” would premiere on Monday, Jan. 4, 2016 at 8 pm on CBS.
