Supernatural Recap: About a Boy

“Supernatural” Season 10 Episode 12 “About a Boy” aired on Tuesday, Feb. 3, 2015, at 9:00 p.m. on The CW. This episode treated us with a flashback, showing a 14-year-old Dean. Read on to learn more about this episode.

The scene begins with two men arguing at a bar. The man wearing a suit gets kicked out of the bar. He walks towards his car, but a witness hears him scream and notices a bright white light.

Back at the bunker, Dean has locked himself in his room to research about how to get rid of the Mark of Cain as he is upset on beating Charlie in the previous episode. Sam suggests Dean to let it go as Charlie has already forgiven him. He also asks him to help him solve the case of people disappearing into thin air.

They drive to the Round Up bar where they find the male witness and interrogate him. The witness tells them whatever he saw, and he also added that he could smell something flowery. The witness thinks it was an alien, so he starts to tell the Winchesters about aliens. The brothers then walk away.

Dean approaches the people at the bar to ask them more questions while Sam investigates about the victim’s personal life. Dean learns that the victim was kicked out of the bar before the incident for stealing the bartenders’ tip and that he was called JP.

While investigating, Dean lands up sitting and drinking with a woman at the bar named Tina. Sam calls him to check whether he found out anything more. Then Dean notices a mysterious man with a scarred face so he decided to follow him. Soon, he hears Tina scream and sees the same bright white light as the previous witness had seen.

He reaches the crime scene to check out where Tina vanished. The mysterious man, whom he is following, suddenly appears, and he immerses him with a bright white light coming out from his necklace. When Dean wakes up in a locked room, he finds out that he has become a teenager again, and the other two victims, Tina and JP, are also there in their younger selves.

Dean finds a way out of the room and tells Tina that he would return to rescue her. Sam goes to their hotel room to research more about the flowery scent that he discovered while searching for Dean at the scene from where he disappeared. At the hotel room, Sam is shocked to see Dean in his teenage self. Dean tells him the story, and they both head to the room where the others are being held captive.

Now the teen Dean shares with Sam that he is fond of Taylor Swift song and  that he also wants to stay in his teenage body as the Mark of Cain is no longer there. The Winchesters bump into the same mysterious scarred face man and are surprised to discover that the man is Hansel from “Hansel and Gretel.” Hansel tells them that he has been doing this to impress his boss, who is an evil witch.

The brothers ask for his help to take down the evil witch and bring back Dean from his teenage body. Sam and Dean realize that the evil witch has a connection with the Grand Coven and Rowena. Hansel turns his side with the evil witch and betrays the Winchesters. But somehow, Dean manages to get hold of the hexbag necklace and shoves it inside the evil witch’s mouth and push her inside the oven to let her burn to death.

Dean is back to his old self, but they couldn’t help Tina. She is stuck in her teenage body. She tells the Winchesters that she sees it as a chance to correct her life as she underwent three failed marriages. The brothers help Tina get on a bus. The Mark of Cain is still in his arm. Dean is upset, but Sam assures him that they will soon find a solution to it. They drive off to Impala while listening to “Shake It Off,” a Taylor Swift song.
