‘Sweet Valley High’ Is Getting a Reboot!

Awesome news out there for those who experience adolescence (even thought who didn’t but have lives during that time) during the 90’s because one of our beloved twins are coming back on the small screen!

Remember Elizabeth and Jessica Wakefield of “Sweet Valley High?” Well, yeah, these two are in the talks with Francine Pascal, the author of the books to do a TV show reboot and WE.ARE.JUST.SO.EXCITED.

Although this hasn’t been a YES YES yet, there is a huge potential because according to Brittany Daniel who plays Jessica Wakefield, “We have a conversation with Francine Pascal in the next couple of weeks so, yeah, we’re definitely interested in doing a reboot of that, she told Us Weekly.

She also told E! Online, “There is some talk [of a reboot] right now. We’re actually going to have some conversations with Francine [Pascal].”

“Sweet Valley High” ran from 1994 to 1997.

If you are a fan of everything 90’s then your heart is probably jumping for joy and that includes mine.

Brittany and Cynthia are now 39 years old, which also means that if the reboot pushes thru they are not going to play the twins again, obviously but they are really thrilled to have a reboot because “Sweet Valley High” is so special to them, “That series means so much to my sister and I and we want to bring that to our kids and the next generation. So it’s only natural for us to want to bring it back.”

I can hear the theme song already, “Sweet Valleeeeeey, Sweet Valleeeey, Sweet Valleeeeey High…”It makes me want to grab a gum tape, animal clips and a couple of Troll dolls to commemorate this day as tribute to the book and TV series we all have grown to love! I hope this pushes thru, though.

What do you think? Do you think a reboot of “Sweet Valley High” is a good idea? Let us know by posting your comments below!
