‘Switched at Birth’ Season 5 Spoilers: Will Bay Be Able to Move on?

“Switched at Birth” left many fans and avid viewers hanging when season 4 ended with Bay and Emmett’s breakup. Now, fans are curious as to what season 5 holds for its characters. Read on to learn more about this scoop.

“It’s not over ‘til it’s over,” said Lizzy Weiss, the show’s creator, on her Twitter account.


Weiss teased fans that she has just finished writing the season premiere of “Switched at Birth” season 5, which according to her premieres this summer.

Many fans were disappointed when the show ended without much news that the last episode, which aired on March 10, would be the show’s season finale.

A user named ‘samrae’ tweeted: “Don’t like Tuesday’s anymore without #SwitchedatBirth @goconstance.” Another fan commented on how she had no idea that the episode was the show’s season finale.

In the last episode of “Switched at Birth,” a lot of fans got their hearts broken when Emmett decided to break things off with Bay. Bay took the time to fly out to Los Angeles, only to hear Emmett tell her that he needs to stay focused in school. Fans were left wondering as to whether or not Bay and Emmett will get a chance to reunite on season 5 or if Bay will finally move on.

The last episode titled, “There is My Heart” also showed Daphne, who struggled accepting that she received a D on her chemistry class. When her friends meets with an accident, Daphne finally realizes that she needs to be a doctor again. Mingo convinces her to take the class again and they kiss. Constance Marie, who plays Regina in the hit series on ABC, even reposted on her official Who Say account a meme created by a fan. The meme features a lady crying with the caption: “There’s no new Switched at Birth tonight.”

She also re-tweeted a couple of heartbroken fan messages saying that their Tuesdays are not complete without “Switched at Birth” on her Twitter account.

Constance Marie reassured her fans that her and the rest of the cast will begin shooting for the show’s upcoming season in April.
