“Switched at Birth” Season 4 Episode 8 titled “Art Like Love Is Dedication” aired on Feb. 24, 2015 on ABC Family.

Bay Kennish is focusing on her probation. One day, while she was picking up garbage for her community service as ordered by the court, her supervisor started to choke. Bay performs the Heimlich maneuver on her and saves her life. Because of Bay’s heroic stunt, her supervisor recommends her for an early release from community service and probation.

Though she doesn’t seem very happy about the change, she decides to resume her art piece, which she neglected since she lost a showcase because of her probation. In the meantime, she decides to visit her friend Tess from the clean up crew. She tries to look for a job and ends up getting one that involves creating artwork. She decides to dedicate her first project to Tess and her sick baby. Bay calls her project, “Everyday Heroes” because she regards Tess as her hero.

Daphne has a crush on someone, but is unable to figure out if he likes her too. So she finally decides to make the first move. After flirting for a while, she finally ends up spending the night with her crush. However, the next morning, the guy behaves indifferent – like nothing ever happened between the two.

At the same time, Regina asks Eric and his son to stay at her home with the intention of impressing Eric, but ends up making things worse. She tries to talk to Eric about the way he talks to his son and advises him not to mention his ex-wife so that his son would be less confrontational with him. The next morning, Eric leaves with his son without informing Regina.

Travis has a paper due for his English class, but he figures out that he couldn’t do it all on his own. He asks Kathryn for help, but she tells him that she won’t let him off the hook that easily. Travis then asks Coach Walsh for help, who in turn advises him to find someone he could pay to write the paper for him.

John confronts Walsh and asks him to admit his mistakes, failing which he  would spill the beans. Coach Walsh quits and John becomes the head coach.
