Sylvester Stallone’s Son Dies
The thirty-six year old son of actor Sylvester Stallone was found dead. No signs of trauma or foul play were found in his death. Sage Stallone was found in his Los Angeles home by a relative and employee.
When found on Friday, Stallone was unresponsive and when police arrived, they confirmed the actor was dead. Michelle Bega, the publicist for Sylvester Stallone said he was completely grief-stricken and devastated over the loss of Sage.
Friends were concerned on Friday since they had not heard from Stallone in over a day. Stallone’s attorney George Braunstein said a housekeeper found the body.
The cause of Stallone’s death is still not clear. There was no suicide note found, though bottles of prescription medications were found in his home in the Studio City area. The names of the prescriptions or how many bottles were found was not released.
Authorities said an autopsy was to be performed sometime in the next couple of days. In the mean time, investigators were checking Stallone’s medical background, but the cause of his death most likely will take a number of weeks while all the needed toxicology tests are run.
Sylvester Stallone appeared with Arnold Schwarzenegger his close friend and co-star in San Diego on Thursday to promote the soon to be released movie Expendables 2.
Sage was the oldest of Stallone’s children and had co-starred on two occasions with his dad. He is the first of two children Stallone had with Sasha Czack his first wife. Sage made his debut in acting in Rocky V and appeared in the 1996 movie Daylight with his father.
