Taylor Swift’s Alleged $40 Million-Insured Legs Scratched by Cat Meredith
While rumours have been circling around that she had her long shapely legs insured for a whopping $40 million, Taylor Swift may have to sue somebody now for scratching her legs, and it’s actually somebody she probably didn’t expect but maybe should have.
On Saturday, March 14, Taylor Swift took to Instagram to post a photo of her leg, showing a long thin scratch close to her left knee. While it looks painful enough to make people cringe a bit, Swift captioned the photo with the culprit’s identity. She wrote in all caps, “Great work, Meredith. I was just trying to love you and now you owe me 40 million dollars.”
As it turned out, the scratch on Swift’s leg was caused by Meredith, one of her two cats. Known for being quite a cat lover, Swift positively dotes on her cats Meredith Grey and Olivia Benson, who she named after her favorite characters in the TV series Grey’s Anatomy and Law & Order: SVU. But it seems Meredith wasn’t in a good mood that day and ended up scratching her owner’s leg.
Despite the scratch, Swift later went out with her younger brother Austin and a mystery blonde girl. Swift also took light of her injury, covering it up with a big bandage with ‘meOW’ written on it, as if to say that her wound was caused by her cat and how much it hurts.
It was reported last week that Swift has her legs insured for $40 million. According to a source of the National Enquirer, “It seems like a ludicrous sum, but if something was to happen to her legs, Taylor wouldn’t be able to give her signature stage performances. Her $200 million career would be in big trouble.”
Up until now, Swift has not yet released any official statements regarding her legs being insured. Although, judging from her making light of the news with her now-scratched leg, it is probably just another rumour.
