Taylor Swift’s Legs Are Reportedly Worth $40 Million
We all know that Taylor Swift has recently trademarked some of her lines from her hit singles, but is it true that the “Blank Space” singer has also insured her legs for $40 million? Read on to learn more about this scoop.
According to Mail Online, Swift has trademarked some of her lyrics from her famous songs such as “This Sick Beat.” While that might have caused quite some shock to some, what’s more surprising is that the “Style” singer reportedly had her legs insured for $40 million.
The “Shake it Off” singer is known for her energetic performances on stage and for showing off her pretty long and slim legs.
“It seems like a ludicrous sum, but if something was to happen to her legs, Taylor wouldn’t be able to give her signature stage performances,” a source tells National Enquirer magazine, writes Grazia.
Shocking, isn’t it? Apparently, even Swift was surprised and “embarrassed” when she heard “how much her legs were worth.”
The source added that Swift entertained the possibility that her legs would be worth a million, but she never expected it to be worth that much.
Swift’s team is reportedly completing the documents just in time before her 1989 world tour kicks off in Tokyo in May.
Mail Online also reported that Swift was recently spotted taking a hike while flaunting her legs on a pair of tiny green shorts on Monday, Mar. 9, 2015.
Swift has not only trademarked her famous lyrics and insured her legs, but she has also battled against free music.
In 2014, Swift decided to pull out all her songs from the streaming service, Spotify. “It’s my opinion that music should not be free,” Swift told Wall Street Journal via Quartz.
Swift’s move has gained appreciation from several artists in the music industry, including her ex-boyfriend, John Mayer.
As previously reported, Mayer praised Swift for standing up and speaking up for other artists in an interview with MSNBC’s Ronan Farrow.
“I think that’s cool. I think that’s really cool. Artists need the person with the loudest voice for them,” Mayer said.
