‘Ted 2’ Beaten By ‘Jurassic World’ And ‘Inside Out’ In Box Office

Seth MacFarlane’s talking bear second film “Ted 2” disappointedly debuted at #3 position behind the top “Jurassic World” and following trails by “Inside Out.” “Ted 2” has a budget of $68 million and it has grossed $33 million in North America and $20.3 million in other territories for a worldwide total of $53.3 million.

In U.S. and Canada, “Ted 2” had a very disappointing opening weekend at 3rd position. The projected opening was of $45 – 50 million but it kept struggling at $33 million. However, “Jurassic World” estimated at $54.2 million and “Inside Out” is at $52.1 million for the opening weekend. “Inside Out” by Pixar animation Studios has estimated at $184.9 million in North America and has gained worldwide total of $266.4 million.


“Jurassic World” is still setting records. The dino movie has grossed  $500 million in North America and $584.4 million in other territories. The total worldwide collection by “Jurassic World” is $1.084 billion. It is ranked at 8th position for highest grossing film of all time and is at position #3 among highest grossing film of 2015. Not only this, it is the highest grossing film in the “Jurassic Park” franchise and the second highest grossing film yet distributed by Universal Pictures.

“Inside Out” is even out to set records. It was Pixar’s first film not to debut at #1 position, its opening weekend gross was still the biggest for a Pixar original film. “Inside Out” is the studio’s second biggest film of all time.

“Ted 2” is not even loved by critics and received mixed responses. “ted 2” is Seth MacFarlane’s straight second movie which did not perform well at the box-office. Before this, “A Million Ways To Die In The West” even disappointed at the box-office.
