Teen Choice Awards 2014 Best Moments: Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Jennifer Lopez, Taylor Swift [WATCH VIDEO]
Young viewers took the opportunity to evaluate the Teen Choice Awards held on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2014. The event was hosted by “Modern Family’s” Sarah Hyland and “Teen Wolf’s” Tyler Posey. The two-hour event featured appearances by Demi Lovato, Taylor Swift, “The Fault in Our Stars” cast members, Selena Gomez and more. Lovato started the show crooning her hit “Really Don’t Care.” After the rich performance, it was time to distribute life-size surfboards designed with the graphics of the year’s show to winners. Then viewers witnessed some of the most noteworthy acceptance speeches. Taylor Swift dropped a clever line while presenting an award. Although she neither received one nor released a new album yet, she is a veteran in receiving TCA’s in the past.
“No one knows more about dramatic males than I do,” said Swift before presenting the Choice Movie Actor Award to Ansel Elgort for “The Fault in Our Stars.”
One Direction was the leading winner of the night, bagging all ten awards the group was nominated for and “The Fault in Our Stars,” which won all seven of its nominations as well, including four awards for Ansel Elgort. In addition to Swift, music lovers enjoyed performances by the following artists:

1. Selena Gomez’s acceptance speech for the Ultimate Choice Award
Undoubtedly, It was Selena Gomez’s moment. She was looking sensuous and chic in a black jumpsuit paired with golden clutch and stilettos with her hair pulled back.
She touched all the hearts while presenting her gratefulness for fans and then dedicating the award to her mom. 2. “The Fault in Our Stars’” Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort
Fan favorites Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort won several awards including Choice Lip-Lock and Choice Movie: Drama for “The Fault in Our Stars.”
Elfort has won as Breakout Movie Star and Chice Movie Actor in Drama for “The Fault in Our Stars,” while Woodley has won as Choice Movie Actress in Adventure for “Divergent.”
3. Ariana Grande makes an appearance
The beautiful songstress received the award for Choice Female Artist. In her acceptance speech, she thanked fans for supporting her in trying times with respect to her grandfather demise in July.
4. Jennifer Lopez reunites with “Maid in Manhattan” on-screen son Tyler Posey
Jennifer Lopez and Tyler Posey brought back together on-stage Sunday, almost 12 years after the “Teen Wolf” actor starred as Lopez’s young son in the 2002 flick “Maid in Manhattan.”
5. Donald Sutherland accepts award for Best Villain in Hunger Games
Legendary actor Donald Sutherland received award for Choice Villain. The crowd welcomed him by gradually holding up the District 12 sign, a hand symbol which means they have a high regard for the person before a live audience.
6. Kendall Jenner Pulls a Kim Kardashian on the red carpet
Kendall Jenner impersonated her sister Kim’s hairstyle on the red carpet . The 18-year-old reality star, along with Kim Kardashian West and younger sis Kylie Jenner, accepted the Choice Award for Best Reality TV Series for their family’s show, “Keeping Up With the Kardashians.”
7. The last worth-watching moments was Jason Derulo’s medley of “Wiggle,” with “Talk Dirty” concluding the show. His performance was electrifying from starting to ending.
In the middle of the performance, a cop car surfaced on stage as Jason shifted into “Talk Dirty.” He swiftly hopped on the top of the car and mesmerized viewers with some sizzling dance moves.
