Teen Model Sues For $28 Million For Suggestive Image Taken Of Her
Teenage modeling sensation, Hailey Clauson, 16, is suing Urban Outfitters for ruining her reputation. Clauson has gained fame for her work with big names in the fashion world such as Donna Karan, Calvin Klein and Oscar de la Renta.
Clauson is suing the company for $28 million because of a picture that was taken of her when she was fifteen. The picture shows her sitting on a motorcycle with her legs spread wide open. The suggestive image was put on T-shirts being sold by the Urban Outfitters.
Hailey claims the image has ruined her reputation, and thinks the picture is in violation of child pornography rules.
She claims that photographer, Jason Lee Parry, made her crotch area the focal point of the photo to make it more salacious. Reportedly, Parry agreed not to release the image of Clauson when it was taken because her agency, at the time, complained about the content of the picture.
Parry says, Hailey’s parents did not complain when they were present at the 2010 photo shoot. According to Parry, her parents gave him permission to publish the image of their daughter. So far, Clauson’s parents have not commented.
Urban Outfitters removed the T-shirts featuring Hailey Clauson’s image.
