That’s So Raven Spinoff Casting Call Underway; Orlando Brown is Back In News
Raven-Symone is stepping down as a co-host on The View and is set to revive her role as Raven Baxter on Disney Channel’s That’s So Raven Spinoff!
Raven-Symone announced her departure on The View last October 27 and surprised the audience as she revealed her latest project on Disney network.
“I’m excited and sad but mostly excited,” Symone said. “I’ve been working internally with the Disney company…we’re doing a That’s So Raven 2.”
According to reports, Symone’s exit is not a big surprise as she is slowly being phased out from the show.
As the spinoff’s executive producer, the talk show host explained that she has become really busy for the preparation of her upcoming comeback as Raven Baxter, pointing out that it is the reason why she mostly appears on The View every Friday.
The 30-year-old star will be moving out from New York to stay in Los Angeles for That’s So Raven Spinoff. She is set to reprise her role but with a little twist. She will be playing as a single mom with 2 children.
As of writing, there is no further information regarding the release date of That’s So Raven spinoff but the casting call for the new characters in the show is set to start very soon.
Symone announced that they are currently going around the country looking for “good, talented females and males to be in the show.”
Brown slammed Symone and revealed that it was fine to him if he will be recast. However, the 28-year-old actor and rapper expressed that the reason behind That’s So Raven success is because of original cast chemistry.
Meanwhile, setting aside the controversy, with writers from R.L. Stine’s The Haunting Hour and Best Friends Whenever, Jed Elinoff and Scott Thomas, new Disney characters and a possible reunion from the previous cast…we are now one step closer to see the future from Raven and her kids very soon!
