Unless, The 100 Season 4 is going to consider changing their plot and characters in less than three months time. With a teaser trailer coming out soon, the showrunners are trying to make an epic opening. But with Lexa gone, is there still enough interest in the show?

LGBTQ Issues on The 100 Season 4

Previously, The 100 receives backlash from the LGBTQ community for having fewer LGBTQ characters. According to Deadline, Ilan is coming back to Season 4 and will replace Lexa as Clarke’s new love interest. However, this is not great news for the LGBTQ.

The show runners are working hard to make sure Season 4 is, as reports described it, a peace offering to its viewers. By providing more diverse actors, they hope it is enough. But the consistency of Clarke’s romantic interests strikes a sensitive issue.

Ilan As Clarke’s New Love Interest

Although there are several individuals who do sway between genders, it can be an issue in Clarke’s case. Clarke’s character consistency is questionable and love works in mysterious ways.

But with a ton of backlash coming from fans regarding Ilan’s romantic link with Clarke, the show could be rethinking its strategy. Ilan is an ex-Grounder and will play a major role in the coming season.

With a promo trailer still not out, does the show have time to remake certain parts?

Ilan and Clarke’s Drama

Or is it going to use Clarke as a vessel for a faithful kind of love? If Ilan is true to his intent then he is going to pursue her. But it is still up to Clarke to decide her path.

For now, she needs to make sure her people are going to survive the coming Nuclear Armageddon. If the producers are unable to make an epic and dramatic premiere, the show may face cancellation.

Be that as it may, The 100 Season 4 is still firm on its premiere release on Feb. 1, 2017.
