The 1975 Frontman Matt Healy Rants On One Direction And Harry Styles, Says 1D Mimics Their Style

One Direction (1D) is again on the spotlight following the departure of former member Zayn Malik. Now, our attention is directed towards Harry Styles after reports surfaced that a feud is brewing between the 1D boys and the lads from The 1975. Read on for more details.

The 1975 frontman and guitarist Matt Healy is not so happy about the change in the One Direction’s style. This was after the boys from 1D have moved towards a more rocky style with their new album. According to a report from TheRecord, Matt feels The 1975 has been mimicked with the new style of One Direction.

Meanwhile, another report coming from The Sun on Sunday newspaper citing a source telling them that Healy has had a “right old rant” about One Direction sounding similar to his band band. The source went on saying that he has told some of his close mates about the “mimicking” situation. The source added that Healey felt Styles and the boys of 1D have pinched the very unique sound done by The 1975. Furthermore, the source said that that the act was not something done on purpose and that the band would be a first in history to have been influenced by their peers.

We do think that when One Direction and The 1975 boys bumped to each other, it will be an awkward occasion.

Last year, fans also rant about a 1D song sounding similar to that of The 1975’s hit. The song “Change Your Ticket” from One Direction was compared to be alike with “Girls” from The 1975. However, a source said that it would be unfair of Healy to direct his anger towards Styles because he was not solely responsible for the song. It was former 1D member Zayn Malik and Niall Horan’s idea for that particular time.

Another source close to the One Direction boys said that it would be unfair to get angry to Styles especially with the 1D song, “Change Your Ticket.” The source added that Harry didn’t have anything to do with that song since it was all Niall and Zayn’s work.

In March, we do recall that Healy gave Styles a prank call for Grimmy’s Call or Delete segment. Mail Online reported the generous Harry agreed to lend £5,000 after having a conversation over the telephone for the first time.
