‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ Trailer Leaks Online
Marvel was supposed to feature the trailer for its upcoming action pic “The Avengers: Age of Ultron,” setting the trailer’s release alongside "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s" Tuesday episode. However, that’s not the case anymore as the much-anticipated trailer was leaked online this Wednesday night. Wanna know how Marvel handled the problem? Read on.
Not even 24 hours has passed since its announcement, the much-anticipated trailer for the upcoming “The Avengers: Age of Ultron” was leaked online Wednesday night. Marvel amusingly responded by posting a witty tweet and then releasing the official trailer right away.
The two-minute trailer features some shots of action in the upcoming pic, as well as shots on the team members; new characters such as Quicksilver, the Scarlet Witch and the main baddie Ultron; and a look at Stark’s Hulkbuster armor. Check out the trailer below:

“The Avengers: Age of Ultron” is the eleventh installment in the Marvel Cinematic Universe and will follow the events of the original film. With S.H.I.E.L.D.’s abolition on “Captain America: Winter Soldier” and the Avengers needing a hiatus from stopping threats, Tony Stark creates Ultron, a self-aware, self-teaching, artificial intelligence, who can assess threats and control Stark’s Iron Legion. However, things go awry as his plan quickly backfires when Ultron decides that humans are the main enemy and sets out to eradicate them from Earth. The superhero team will confront newcomers Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch, as well as, Vision.
The original cast will be suiting up to reprise with roles along with Cobie Smulders, Don Cheadle, Hayley Atwell, Thomas Kretschmann and Stellan Skarsgård reprise their roles from previous MCU films as Maria Hill, Col. James “Rhodey” Rhodes, Peggy Carter, Baron Wolfgang von Strucker, and Erik Selvig respectively. Claudia Kim was cast as a scientist and friend of Tony Stark, while Andy Serkis is playing an undisclosed role in the film. James Spader plays central villain Ultron. Avengers’ co-creator Stan Lee is set to make a cameo appearance.
Paul Bettany, who voiced J.A.R.V.I.S. (Tony Stark’s AI butler) in previous films, will now play the synthezoid Vision, an android who is able to control his density which enables him to phase through walls, fly or have a diamond-hard near invulnerability. The Vision will be joined by Magneto’s twins, Pietro Maximoff and Wanda Maximoff/ Quicksilver and Scarlet Witch played by Aaron Taylor-Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen respectively.
“The Avengers: Age of Ultron” is scheduled for release on May 1, 2015 in North America, in 2D and IMAX 3D, while "Interstellar" is set to be released in theaters in November 2014, Nov. 5, 2014 in Belgium, France and Switzerland; Nov. 6, 2014 in the United Kingdom; and Nov. 7, 2014 in the United States and Canada. Paramount will distribute the film in North America, while Warner Bros. will distribute in the remaining territories.
