From what is known, the network has been planning an eleventh season, although, no new contracts have been drawn yet. With no contracts drawn, the possibility of the show getting cancelled remains, too.

Keeping in mind this, here are reasons why the show could get cancelled instead of getting renewed.

Jim Parsons Leaves The Big Bang Theory

It was revealed some time back that Jim Parsons who plays Sheldon on the show has been working on developing another show on Freeform. Apart from this, there were also talks of bringing a prequel to The Big Bang Theory, which would be centered on Sheldon.

So, if these two shows are indeed happening, chances are, Jim Parsons will end up leaving The Big Bang Theory to focus on other projects. With him gone, fans certainly would be disappointed.

Kaley Cuoco’s Exit

There were lots of speculations some time back that Kaley would not be returning to the show either. Alhough nothing was confirmed about her participation, this rumor did manage to surprise many.

If she does end up leaving the show, it would be really difficult for the makers to replace a character like her.

End of the Line

After running for ten seasons, the show seems to have reached at the end of the line. Sheldon has changed drastically, he has done things that he probably would never have done.

An introvert like Raj has also changed a lot since the first season and in general other characters have been on this really long journey. It would probably be a good idea to wrap up the story after Season 10. Otherwise, it would give a feeling that the story is simply being dragged.

Movie Pilot reported that The Big Bang Theory has been renewed for an eleventh season. However, the show could get cancelled after eleventh season because of Jim Parsons.

An official word about the next season has not been released yet. Thus, it remains to be seen if The Big Bang Theory would come back for another season or not.

The Big Bang Theory Season 10 airs on CBS.
