“The Big Bang Theory” (TBBT) left everyone with a broken heart following the painful breakup between Sheldon and Amy in season 8. While details about “BBT” season 9 are still unknown, several fans shared their thoughts on what they think will happen in the upcoming season. Will Shamy reunite only to encounter a problem with Sheldon’s mom? Read on to learn more about this scoop.
“The Big Bang Theory” pretty much left fans and viewers of the series with a cliffhanger. It was after Amy (Mayim Bialik) called it quits with Sheldon (Jim Parsons), just when the latter was about to propose. While showrunner Steve Molaro previously hinted that Sheldon cares too much for Amy that he won’t just stand by waiting for her to come back into his arms.
Meanwhile, several fans shared their predictions on “Big Bang Theory” season 9 via a discussion on Reddit. Reddit user “movieman994” predicts that Amy and Sheldon will reunite in the first few episodes of the season and may even find themselves engaged, only to encounter a problem with Sheldon’s mom.
“But last episode they plan a wedding date and Sheldon informs his mother, when Mrs. Cooper meets Amy she instantly hates her because Amy does not believe in god hence causing a stir between Sheldon and his mother,” the user pointed out.
Several fans, however, did not share the same sentiments, as a user named “JosephSarkis47” said that this will not likely happen, as Sheldon’s mom does not hate him for being an atheist. Other fans noted that Sheldon’s mom would have seen just how much Sheldon has grown into a man after he met Amy and wouldn’t get in the way of their relationship.
Other fans also hoped that “Big Bang Theory” season 9 will not have a “baby-centric plot.” This came in after several spoilers indicate that Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and Howard (Simon Helberg) will be trying to start their own family in the upcoming season.
“The Big Bang Theory” season 9 premieres this fall on CBS. Stay tuned on Movie News Guide (MNG) for more updates.
