‘The Big Bang Theory’ to Honor Carol Ann Susi in Special Episode; Nathan Fillion to Do Cameo

The Big Bang Theory” has yet to deal with the passing of Carol Ann Susi, the voice of Howard Wolowitz’s (Simon Helberg) mother on the show. The actress, who gave Mrs. Wolowitz her personality, died last Nov. 2014. CBS has announced that the show will finally bring a special episode to honor her memory. Read on for the details.

As reported in various entertainment sites, Mrs. Wolowitz will be given a tribute this month by the series. On Feb. 19, 2015, the show will air “The Comic Book Store Regeneration.” Howard will learn the sad news about his mother, which coincides with the opening of Stuart’s comic book store. If you recall, this site burned down in the previous season and Stuart eventually started living with Mrs. Wolowitz.

Howard gets more shocking news when he sees that the comic book store will be filled with furniture from his mother’s house.

Carol Ann Susi died last Nov. 11, 2014 after a short battle with cancer. She was 62 years old. The cast of the series each gave their tributes to actress in their social media accounts following her death. But since the incident, fans have been wondering how the show will handle Susi’s demise, given that her character, although only heard but never seen in the series, has become an integral part of “The Big Bang Theory.” This will be the episode that viewers have been waiting for.

Meanwhile, the Feb. 19 episode will also present a special guest appearance by Nathan Fillion (“Castle”), who will do a cameo. His story line is believed to be different from the Mrs. Wolowitz tribute.

According to reports, Raj (Kunal Nayyar) and Leonard (Johnny Galecki) will apparently come across Fillion and fight over whether or not it’s actually him. He is the actor they so admire, who starred in geeky cult shows like “Firefly” and “Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog.” In the previous season, a “Firefly” alumna, Summer Glau, also guest starred in the series.

Catch this special episode of “The Big Bang Theory” this coming Thursday, Feb. 19, 2015. Follow more updates about this series only here on Movie News Guide (MNG).
