‘The Last Of Us’ Movie Confirmed! Maisie Williams Talks Playing Ellie; Nolan North Hints Game Sequel
The details of the highly anticipated “Last of Us” movie is set to be released soon. Voice actor Nolan North also confirmed that the sequel to the game is happening once the production of the film is done.
In a recent Q&A panel at MetroCon in Florida, via Game Rant, Nolan North confirmed that a “Last of Us 2” is happening but only after the film adaptation premieres. If ever they will be releasing a new game soon, North revealed that his character will no longer be a part of it. He pointed out that the sequel will be an entirely different story, one that does not include Joel and Ellie.
Although the cast members for the “Last of Us” movie has yet to be confirmed, there are already speculations online on who would be perfect to play the role of Joel and Ellie.
“Game of Thrones” star Maisie Williams shared that writer Neil Druckmann and producer Sam Raimi have talked to her about being in the movie. The actress, however, revealed that there is nothing she could reveal about the movie as it is in the very early stage of production.
“It was announced sort of prematurely almost in that I would love to play Ellie, they would love me to play Ellie,” she told Digital Spy.
“There’s no film happening at this very second, so I cannot play Ellie right at this very minute. But when that comes around – if and when that comes around – I’ll be here,” she added.
