‘The Legend of Conan’ Movie News: Arnold Schwarzenegger Calls Sequel To Conan Barbarian Script ‘Unbelievably Well Written’
Fans of Conan movies and Arnold Schwarzenegger will be happy to know that Schwarzenegger’s next film project, “The Legend of Conan” is underway. The script for the film is ready. The film’s shooting is expected to start by this autumn.
Chris Morgan, the American screenwriter and producer well known for “The Fast and the Furious” films, is writing “The Legend of Conan.” As the script is reportedly now ready, Chris Morgan and Fredrik Malmberg, the film’s producers aim to start shooting the film this autumn, with its director as Paul Verhoeven. The exact date, however, has yet to be confirmed. When asked for a possible shoot date, Fredrik Malmberg says, “I think this fall would be perfect. The sooner the better!”
In a recent interview with The Arnold Fans, Morgan enthusiastically declared that “The Legend of Conan” is going to take a different path from the older Conan movies, while at the same time honors the tone of originals. The film will be a continuation to Conan the Barbarian, and a logical extension of the character 30 years later after the original 1982 Conan film. In this film, we will see Schwarzenegger’s Conan character now as an older man, very annoyed and battle ready. Morgan further added that we would see at least three characters from the older Conan movies in this film. The film’s producers told the website, “The greatest Schwarzenegger cinematic experience is yet to come!”
Arnold Schwarzenegger told the Entertainment Weekly, that ““The Legend of Conan” movie is unbelievably well-written,” and stays eager for his new experience.
“It is the greatest honor to be 67 years old and to still be asked to come back into all those franchises,” he said.
