Two familiar faces are looking for love in the new episode of “The Millionaire Matchmaker” Season 8 Episode 2 “Chilli & Jeff Ogden,” which aired last Dec. 14, 2014 at 9:30 p.m. on Bravo. Rozonda Thomas is a 43-year-old woman from Atlanta, Georgia who has a hard time in the dating world. She takes part as Chilli from a popular girl group, TLC, for more than 20 years. Most guys think she has a boyfriend so no one approaches her. She wants a male version of herself in many ways. She has no time to date men because she is always working and must have time for her son. She shares that TLC is back on tour, so she is busier recently.
Patti meets Chilli to talk about her preferences. She keeps on asking questions, but Chilli does not give a straight answer. She needs her backstory, but Chilli is being vague. She asks about her past relationship with Usher, but Chilli does not want to talk about it. She insists to go deeper to find her perfect match. She thinks Chilli must not date celebrities if she wants a keeper. She asks why Chilli wants love now. Chilli answers she always wanted love. Patti thinks she is trying to protect herself by not saying anything specific. She finds her stubborn. Chilli defends that she was not open to men she dated because she is trying to protect her heart from getting hurt.
Finally, Chilli starts to be specific. She wants a man who wants more kids, is not bad boy but has an edge, has a sense of humor and has 6-pack abs. Her celebrity crushes are Chris Pine and Rick Yune. She loves all races. Patti thinks Chilli being in her 40s is a good thing because women in that age know what they want.
Jeff is a 38-year-old former NFL player and lives in Austin, Texas. He wants a second chance in love with Patti’s help. He is being dumped too quickly and finds it painful. He admits it is difficult to date being popular.
Jeff visits Patti in her office. He tells Patti her set-up last time failed because there was no connection with the girl in a deeper level. Patti asks him specific questions to know his real preference. Jeff wants to get married. His celebrity crush is Jessica Biel, so Patti thinks he wants a brunette woman. He likes a woman who works out and is a philanthropist.
Patti calls retired NBA player, John Salley, to talk to Jeff man-to-man. She thinks John is the perfect guy for Jeff’s enlightenment because he was a player yet has a successful marriage. John asks Jeff what he wants in a woman. He concludes that Jeff wants a woman who stays at home, is sexy, does not look at anybody else and can do charity work. Jeff says that sounds good. However, John says that sounds like a piece of property. His advice is to find a mate who will not only fit his image.
After Patti’s party where she finds the perfect dates, her top three for Chilli are Felix, a lawyer; Brian, a stunt driver; and Sebastian, a personal trainer. Her top two for Jeff are Jessica, a nonprofit worker, and Giulini, a personal trainer.
Chilli chooses between Brian and Felix after her conversation with the guys. She asks for Patti’s help. She likes Brian because he is a parent and has an edge, while Felix loves simplicity. Brian is chosen by Chilli. Patti is not happy about it because she was vying for Felix.
It is unusual for Patti to spy on a date, but in Chilli’s case, she must do it. She just cannot trust Brian. She observes that Brian is not handling the date well and does not talk much. Brian suddenly tells Chilli he is not crazy about having more kids. Patti is furious that he lied to everyone. She interrupts the date and sends Brian outside. Chilli is caught off-guard but not surprised. Brian thinks he was doing well with Chilli.
Patti brings Felix to substitute Brian. She is ready because she is aware some clients just do not know how to choose. Felix instantly has a surprise for Chilli.
Jeff chooses Giulini. They play with a football team composed of children. He wants to emphasize to the kids that fitness is important. Children are teasing Jeff and Giulini while they are being sweet in front of them.
Felix takes Chilli to a country bar. They both ride on the mechanical bull. Chilli is having a good time while Felix falls from the bull. Jeff, on the other hand, brings Giulini to the spa. He massages Giulini before getting inside the bath tub and drinking champagne. Felix and Chilli kiss while sharing a piece of cotton candy. Jeff kisses Giulini while cuddling in the tub.
Patti calls her clients to catch up. Chilli says it was fun with Felix, but she thinks there is no connection between them. However, she tells Patti that she becomes open to dating. When Patti called Giulini, she learns Giulini is annoyed at Jeff for being too sensitive from her joke. She asks her if she is still open to dating Jeff. Giulini says it is okay. Patti calls Jeff to come to her office. Jeff says he did not ask Giulini out because she hesitated before saying she wanted to see him again. Patti scolds him that he does not have a sense of humor. She insists Jeff to call Giulini again because she thinks they still like each other.
In the end, Giulini does not want to see Jeff again. Chilli and Felix are not dating anymore, but her experience with him makes her more open to date real and regular guys.
