The Miss Universe Swimsuit Runway Show was held on the competition’s host venue Doral, Florida. The beautiful ladies walked the runway at the Yamamay swimsuit showcase held on Jan. 14, 2015 at Trump National Doral. The battle of beauty and brains on the runway this year is set to be demanding and dramatic. The Miss Universe 2015 candidates caught the attention both in an upbeat and downbeat manner. A selfie of Miss Universe contestants from Israel and Lebanon posing together infuriated the public of respective nations.


Moreover, It has been six straight years when Asia won. Riyo Mori from Japan was crowned Miss Universe 2007 in Mexico. Speaking of the Asians, the runner-up winning streaks of the Philippines’ delegates from 2010 to 2013 have been noteworthy. Miss Universe Philippines has received the most number of likes on Facebook and page views on her YouTube official interview while the official trailer has featured many Filipino candidates from the previous years. MJ Lastimosa was also featured notably in the trailer video for the Miss Universe swimsuit competition.

Hence, it is inevitable not to consider the Filipina beauty winning the coveted crown. Beside Lastimosa’s name in the list of frontrunners, Miss Universe Indonesia Elvira Devinamira is dubbed as the “vibrant and confident woman.” Pimbongkod Chankaew from Thailand is famous on the social media. Now, Asians and Latinas’ battle would be interesting at the 63rd Miss Universe contest. Meanwhile, Paulina Vega is one of the Latina frontrunners.

Other eyed candidates who might make it to the top five are Desiré Ferrer Cordero (from Spain), Andjelka Tomasevic (from Serbia), Nia Sanchez (from USA) and Yulia Alipova (from Russia).

The thrill of Miss Universe approximately 90 contestants of different nationalities, languages, educations, and ambitions will compete to win the title. The three-hour 63rd Annual Miss Universe Pageant is to air  on Sunday, Jan. 25, 2015, at 8:00 p.m. on NBC, from the Florida International University Arena. It will be simulcast in Spanish on Telemundo.
