After a lot of speculations about Damon’s character on the show, Plec has finally confirmed that he will return on the sixth season of “The Vampire Diaries.” However, that’s all we’ve got as the showrunner did not want to spill any more beans on Damon’s return and on how he will appear in the show next season. She also confirmed that Bonnie will be returning as well. Now, fans can breathe a sigh of relief.
The upcoming season of the show will focus on a certain theme, which is moving on and starting over. This season will be the time to bring it back to the start.
“He misses his friends, but he’s dealing with his grief in his own way and he’s channeling it into something very positive by getting involved in the community and really trying to make something of himself. So he’s thriving, ironicall, in the absence of the supernatural elements in Mystic Falls,” said Plec to TV Guide.
Some details about Tyler were also revealed.
“Tyler is back to being a gut with a werewolf curse. He’s been down this road, and it’s really difficult and he’s got testosterone and machismo, so how does he keep himself together? He’s find help in some fun sources,” added the executive producer to TV Guide.
