The Voice Season 7 Highlights Recap: October 28, 2014 Episode [Watch Videos]

The second knockouts night of “The Voice” Season 7 brought in a lot of surprises! We were really blown away and, at the same time, surprised by the unusual performances by some of the contestants in the show. And with Taylor Swift’s presence, it just made things even more exciting! Missed it? Read on for the full recap.

Team Gwen

Gwen paired up Taylor John Williams and Troy Richie because these two contestants share the same genre. Richie chose to sing Outkast’s “Hey Ya,” while Williams sang “Mad World” by Tears for Fears. Both of their performances were intense, and we can really see that they are great performers. Both deserve a chance to continue to the next round. However, it didn't work that way. Stefani chose Williams, and Richie went home.

Team Adam

Adam paired Alessandra Castronovo and Mia Pffirrman, and he labeled them as “two young amazing powerhouse singers.” Castronovo sang “Next to Me” by Emeli Sande, while Pffirman chose Christina Perri’s “Human.” It was very difficult to choose from these two, and the coaches have their different bets. Adam chose Pffirman in the end.

Team Pharell

Elyjuh Rene and Ricky Manning were up again. Rene sang Chris Brown’s “With You,” while Manning chose “Wrecking Ball” by Miley Cyrus. The coaches loved Manning due to the intense performance that he gave, and Pharell chose Rene. The coaches were shocked by this decision, and Gwen immediately stole Manning. As for Pharell, he said he picked Rene because he believed in him.
