‘The Walking Dead’ Update: Daryl Dixon’s Real Sexuality Finally Revealed
Daryl Dixon is one eye-candy amidst the walkers that he has to deal with in “The Walking Dead.” Norman Reedus’ character in the AMC show has always been intriguing due to the fact that a lot of fans are rooting that he gets it on with Beth or Carol. Nothing has happened yet, which made fans think that maybe his character is gay. Read on to learn more about the latest update on "The Walking Dead" character's sexuality.
According to People, the rumors about his sexuality have intensified due to the fact that he has never shown a romantic gesture towards Beth or Carol. However, creator Robert Kirkman has finally put an end to such speculations during Sunday’s “Talking Dead.”
“Daryl Dixon is being somewhat asexual on the show. I think that he’s a very introverted character and I think that’s somewhat his appeal. I do have to clear something up, though. In the ‘Walking Dead’ letters column in the old coming book that I do, there was a question that made me mention that there was a possibility early on about making Daryl Dixon’s character gay and it caused quite a hubbub online. I just wanted to make it clear that I was saying that the possibility is there and I would’ve been fine with it, the network would have been fine with it, but we ultimately didn’t do that. I can make it official – Daryl Dixon is actually straight,” Kirkman said in the "Talking Dead" show.
There you have it ladies and gents, he’s straight!
Kirkman also followed up with some news on the second half of “The Walking Dead” Season 5.
“But, coming back in our next half of the season, we’re going to be introducing a very prominent gay character from the comics that’ll be debuting,” added Kirkman.
